Lust Have It Dec 2016

Evening lovelies!

Can you believe a) it's almost christmas, and b) this is the last LHI bag for the year?  It's flown so quickly!

LHI have been great this month in trying to assure delivery before Christmas, my bag was sent friday, and arrived early this afternoon.
More black bags, but I'm over them.  Change to something else!
Naobay orange juice hand cream-$19-full size

I've loved everything naobay I've tried so far, and this is no exception.  It smells like christmas (very orangey, if the name didn't give it away), absorbed brilliantly, and my hands feel really soft after using it (including the fingertip i mangled knitting a few weeks ago, sharp knitting needles hurt after a while).  It has shea butter, chamomile and aloe vera, and whilst it felt greasy when first applied, it didn't last long.
Kueshi ultra stem cell face cream-$29.50-full size

I really don't know what to say about this.  It's from a brand I've never heard of (which is a positive), is full size (another positive), and has hyaluronic acid and orange stem cells.  It smells like oranges (theme of the month?), and makes a lot of claims i don't quite believe, the active ingredients seem to be well down the ingredient list.  However I'll happily give it a go, who knows, it might be amazing.  At the least ilike the smell.
Modelco illusion lip liner-$20-full size

Ummm, it's a lip liner.  It claims to help naturally enhance your lip line, but all lip liners will do this.  It has cocoa butter, shea butter, beeswax and carnauba wax, so it may be a nice moisturising base beneath a matte lip, and it's a pretty neutral colour so will go with a lot.
Nivea express hydration body lotion-sample size

Ummm, it's moisturiser.  It's a great size to chuck in my glove box, so that's where it'll probably end up.  I do like nivea moisturisers, but it's not exciting.

Lollipops paris délicieus lip balm-$12?-full size

This is my mystery 'encore' product.  This month's mysterys were all past full sizes, so I've had this before.  I really like it, so I'm not upset about getting a second, and by memory it's worth about $12.  It does a lovely job of keeping dry lips at bay, and leaves a nice sheer colour.

Your tea shetea-sample size

Now, the card says this was a gift from LHI, and it was a full box.  I've emailed customer service, so we'll see what happens, but the single smells nice.

I really like the box.  Surely there's some things I'm not too fussed about, but they'll get used.

Hope everyone's christmas prep is going well. We're all on holidays here (oh well, not from catalogues, but from the daily grind of kids at school, and husbeast at work), and we're having a lazy week inthe lead up to the weekend.

Redpawpaw November 2016

Good morning lovelies!

How have you all been?  We are so flat out here, we're in to week 8 of school, which means there's only 14 days of school left after today.  And, and, the husbeast is discharging from the defence force, and we have 2 months until that happens, which means we have to move!  And christmas is coming!  My god it's busy!

Anyways, my latest redpawpaw box arrived this morning.  It was sent Thursday, so it made pretty good time.  And it is heavy!  The big kids were still here when it rocked up, and they were so excited.  Redpawpaw time is their favourite.
Omnomnomnomnom!
Oreo thins-$2.40-full size

I keep eyeing these off in the shops, as i love all things lemon.  Happy to have 2 boxes.

Tasti Smooshed wholefoods balls-?

From what i can tell these are pretty new.  They're in orange zinger, and they only have 5 ingredients.  2 serves per bag, 3 balls per serve.  Can't wait to try these.

Carmen's gourmet protein bar-sample size

Love Carmen's, this sounds delicious.  And it's all mine!
Belvita yoghurt breakfast biscuits-$4.50-full size

Every time i see these in the shops, i eye them off.  So happy to give them a go.

Corn thins organic sesame-$2-full size

A staple in this house.  I think when I'm finished here I'll crack them open
Hart and soul hot korean soup-$1.99 - full size

I love these.  They're all natural, taste yummy, and are pretty low fat.

Bertolli robusto olive oil-$6.99-full size

We use olive oil all the time!  Although i think this will end up in salad dressings.
H2coco pineapple coconut water-$2.85-full size

I haven't like the plain coconut waters I've tried, but I'll give this a go.

Madame flavour lime, lemongrass and ginger tisane-sample size

Love madame flavour, haven't tried this flavour.

Dilmah green tea-$3.69-full size

Not a fan, but we'll see
Samples!  Glad scented bags, magic erasers, colgate toothpaste, palmolive body wash.  All will get used.
Marie Claire-$8.50

Yay!

Cadbury coco chocolate-$4-full size

Omnomnomnom!

Total=$42.17

So, without samples, the box is worth double what i paid.  And there are products I've wanted to try, and some i didn't know about but sound yummy.

I'm really happy with the box, i would have loved it if they'd made it a bit christmas-y, but i can't complain.

Hope everyone is ok, and not running around like we are.

Lust Have It Nov 2016

Afternoon lovelies!

Can you believe it's almost the end of November?  We went to the annual movie with santa that our local shopping centre holds each year on the weekend (we saw a preview of trolls, the kids loved it), which marks the start of our christmas season.  But where has the year gone?

But, i digress.  Lhi rocked up today, it was sent monday, so made fairly decent time getting here.  Let's have a looksee, shall we?
Fair bit of paper this month, 2 deals with brand exclusive plus the normal info card.
Cougar by Paula Dunne Mineral 5-in-1 Foundation-$56.25-full size

This is a teeny tiny jar, but it is cheaper than what lhi have it down as.  The same size costs £24, which roughly converts to $40.  This claims to be like thin lizzy, a colour corrector, bronzer, concealer etc, etc.  Mine's in natural light, which is quite dark (you'll see in the swatch).  It should make a nice bronzer, if nothing else.  But it's a tiny container, getting a brush in is going to be a PITA.  And for some reason when i ran my finger around the top of the lid so i could swatch, my finger came back black.  The packaging feels fairly cheap and nasty, and the colour transferring confirms that.

Cougar Mineral Face and Body Shimmer-$30.50-full size

This is in Golden Bliss, an old gold looking shimmer.  It's actually really pretty, and i think with a light hand could look really natural.  Packaging still feels cheap, but at least it's big enough to use effectively.
Aveda Color Conserve leave in treatment-sample size

My mystery product.  I love aveda products, and haven't tried this, so I'm happy to give it a go.

Rituals... The Ritual Of Sakura Shower Foam-$5-sample size

This smells heavenly!  It's organic rice milk and cherry blossom, to soften and purify skin.

Foreo Night Cleanser-sample size

This is marked on the card as a day cleanser, and there's a comp going that says for the day cleanser, so i have nfi.  So what can i tell you about this?  It smells pretty neutral, it took my swatches off easily, and it has exfoliating particles in it.  Which make no sense to me, if you're using a foreo then why do you need an exfoliant?
Look, I'm not overly impressed with the bag this month.  The makeup seems cheaply made, and the samples, whilst are all new products to me, are the most exciting things in the box.

Hopefully next month is better.

Lust Have It Oct 2016

Morning lovelies!

Can you believe it's almost the end of oct?  Before we know it it'll be christmas!

My oct lust have it bag arrived this morning, i think the whole neighbourhood heard me squeeing.  It's one of the best I've received in a while.
Black bag again.  Really wish we could move on to something else.

Let's start with the least exciting products.
Sasy n savy vitamin enriched recovery masque-sample size

If this had been either of the other 2 samples (a cleanser and a day cream) i might have found this a bit more appealing.  But this is the 3rd time I've received the same thing from lhi, another sample size and a full size.  And i just received 3 full sized masks from another company to trial.  Mask overload!  It's not a bad product, I'm just over seeing it.
L'oreal infallible foundation-sample

This was the mystery item.  Firstly it'll go straight to my mum, it's too dark for me.  Secondly who gets excited over foil packets.  At least the rest of the bag makes up for it.
Etc lipliner-full size-$4

We've received products from this company before, whilst they're cheap, they're not bad quality.  Mine's in 02 Rebel Red.
Mprincess mineral eyeshadow  ($16.99) and eyeshadow brush ($19.50)-full size

This eyeshadow is so sparkly!  And it seems to apply easily.  Being the format it is there'll be fallout, but sparkles!  Mine's Melting Maple, a gorgeous bronze.  And did i mention sparkles?  The brush is a bit stiff, but feels like it'll work well with the eyeshadow.
Medusa's Makeup lip gloss-full size-$12

OMFG!  Omg, omg, omg, omg!  I've heard brilliant things about this brand over the years, and look what lhi included!  Mine's in Loverboy, which is the perfect blue based bright pink.  These lipglosses are vegan and cruelty free, and the packaging is so cute!  I think i would have taken all foil sachets for this lipgloss.
Etc lipliner, mprincess eyeshadow, Medusa's makeup lipgloss
I love 1 product, like 1, will use 2 and the others are blah.  But getting 1 product that i absolutely love makes up for all the rest.

Hopefully next month will continue this month's success.

Redpawpaw sept/oct 2016

Morning lovelies!

After taking a fairly late payment last week, my redpawpaw box arrived on my doorstep this morning.  I was excited to get this box, the sneak peek was of Kettle popcorn, i love Kettle chips and I'm a big fan of popcorn, so i couldn't wait to try it.
It was a really full box, with just enough room for a couple of air filled bags so nothing moved.  I'll say now, though, please excuse the photography.  I'm still stuck using my tablet as both camera and to post (only because i don't know of a way to get photos from my camera to my tablet), and for some reason it randomly turns photos around.
Kettle popcorn in butter and honey and salted caramel-?-full size

These look like they're brand new to the market, there is nothing about them online, so no price.  But if we go by the price of Kettle chips they'll be around the $4 mark per packet (tyrells do both chips and popcorn, and they're usually on par price wise).  These are big bags (110g, but they feel pretty full), and the flavours are different to other products on the market (normally you get butter, salted and sweet and salty, unless you get caramel corn).  I'm most interested in trying the butter and honey.
Weetbix go apple cinnamon twist-$4.49-full size

We received some of these last box, but these are a different flavour.  These types of breakfast biscuits are a staple in redpawpaw boxes, which is something to consider if you're thinking of subscribing.  I don't mind, my youngest and i have a couple of early starts during school terms, so with a piece of fruit and a packet of these we have an easy, on the run breakfast.
V8 breakfast fusion juice-sample size

I thought you could buy this size, but i can't find it online.  There were 2 of these exact product in the last box, i thoroughly enjoyed them then, and I'll enjoy this one too.

Yorkshire tea-sample size

I'm a tea drinker, but i haven't tried this brand before.  This will be put to good use.

H2coco chocolate coconut water-$2.85-full size

I haven't had much success with coconut water, I'm not a fan of the taste.  I'll give this a go, though, maybe the chocolate will improve the flavour.
Mission tortilla chips-sample size

They'll get eaten, i plan by me!  Now to hide them from the kids

Table of plenty dark chocolate mini rice cakes-sample size

Another thing i plan on secreting away.......  I've tried the aldi version, and enjoyed them, so happy to try these.

Oreo tiramisu thins-$2.38-full size

Omnomnomnomnom!  My whole family enjoys oreos, but i might keep these for the husbeast and i.
Bref toilet cleaner-$4.99-full size

This has gone straight in my toilet.  Master T is toilet training, so I'm hoping this will help keep the toilet smelling better and a bit cleaner.  Although he freaked when he first saw it.

Chux robust cleaning cloths-$3.99-full size

What household couldn't use these?  They'll get used somewhere down the track
Azalea cuisine asian cooking oil-$5.50-full size

A blend of olive, sunflower, peanut and sesame oils, with garlic, ginger, onion and chive.  Sounds interesting!  Husbeast likes using sesame oil in things, so he'll use this.

Marie Claire magazine-$8.50

OMG someone listened after last box.  Nothing against womens health, but it wasn't a mag that interested me.  But i really like marie claire!

Total=$45.19, using $4 as the price of the popcorn and not taking in to account the samples.

All in all i really like the box.  I know i say it about every redpawpaw box, but as a family we'll use everything in the box, plus there are some brand new products to try.

Hopefully things continue this way for redpawpaw!

Lust Have It September 2016

Morning lovelies!

Long time no speak!  Life seems to be flying by atm, and whilst i take photos and plan to blog, i never seem to find the time to actually get a post done.  Plus I'm using my tablet for posts atm, and i find it a PITA.

But, i have my sept lhi box in my hot little hands, and i thought I'd start getting back in to the groove!
I'm really getting to the point where I'd be happy to see a packaging change again.  I'm a bit sick of the mesh (something like ipsy would be nice, a different pattern each month).
Modelco double sided face wipes-$7.99-full sized

This is my mystery item for the month.  I've been fairly lucky in my mystery products, they tend to be things I'll use.  I don't go through a whole heap of wipes like this, but i don't have any at all at the moment, so these are welcome.
Simple kind to eyes make up  correction pen-$25-full size

I'm a bit disappointed to see this.  Last time i tried simple skincare i had a pretty serious and sudden allergic reaction to the brand (my face ended up covered in a tiny red, itchy rash).  I think it's a brilliant idea for a product, and i might do a test somewhere inconspicuous, but it's going no where near my eyes until that comes back clear.
Face of Australia lip quench lipstick-$9.45-full size

Now this is a product i can get fully behind!  Mine's in the colour lychee crush, which is an apricoty pink.  It smells lovely (like vanilla), and has jojoba oil, vit e and shea butter.  I can't imagine it being a particularly long lasting lipstick, but it should be moisurising.
OFRA universal eyebrow pencil-$17-full size

I must admit, when i first saw this i thought 'not another eyeliner'. I'm a bit eyelinered out (and if lhi aren't careful I'll be eyebrow penciled out too).  This is supposed to be a universal shade, honestly i can't see how.  It's quite dark.  Perfect for me, but i can't see it suiting the blondes in my life.  Swatching it, though, it didn't drag, and went on smoothly, so it seems like a decent product.
Mprincess mineral powder foundation-$5.25-sample size

The info card has this all stuffed up.  They have it as full sized worth $15 (full sized is actually worth $35), when in fact it's a sample size.  It's in the colour cream, which is really light.  I think I'll be able to get away with it, or it could be used as a mixer with a darker shade, but the sample is small.  It's going to be a pita to use, you just can't get a decent sized brush in to the container.  I'll figure it out though.
Foa lipstick, ofra eyebrow, mprincess powder
Overall the bag is worth $64.69, so well worth the initial cost.  And I'll end up using the majority of the products.

Now lovelies, it's over to you.  What do you think?

BeautyCREW 30 days of giveaways-nivea prize pack

 Evening lovelies!

During the month of June BeautyCREW held a '30 days of giveaways' event, with each day bringing a new prize from a different company.  All you had to do to be in the draw was to leave a product review, the best review/s each day won.

I was lucky enough to win a Nivea pack, and i received my prize today.
BeautyCREW do package their parcels beautifully, and my box was packed full.
Firstly there were 2 lip butters, 1 coconut and 1 raspberry, worth $4.99 each.  I've tried one of the range before (caramel?), and they are moisturising, smell great, and are perfect for winter.
I received both the black & white invisible roll on ($3.89) and spray ($6.59).  I've found these both work brilliantly, and it's nice not having to worry about possible marks.
Then we have the Firming body lotion ($6.49) and the Nourishing in shower body lotion ($7.99).  I've tried the in shower lotions before, and find they do a good job, and if the lotions anything like other nivea lotions, it should be good.
2 face products, a Nivea micellar water ($9.99), and the Q10 plus replenishing pearls ($29.99).  If you've read any posts of mine in the last few months you'll know I'm not overly excited to see another micellar water (i think this marks 6 or 7 in my stash), but the other I'm excited to try.
Finally we have 2 Nivea sun products, the Protect & Moisture sunscreen ($24.99), and the Daily face veil ($12.99).  I deliver catalogues, so use a fair bit of sunscreen, so these are gladly received and will be put to good use.

Overall the total value of the prize pack is 112.90, which is just huge!

Thank you so much to both BeautyCREW and Nivea!

Girl's Night Out-Alice Through The Looking Glass

Evening Lovelies!!

A few weeks ago my mum and i headed out to the Girl's Night Out screening of Alice Through The Looking Glass.  If you don't know what Girl's Night Out is, it's an advance screening of a movie held by Hoyts and Marie Claire.  For $30 you get to see a movie (and oh, the recliners at hoyts!  Divine!!), plus you get a goodie bag containing the latest issue of Marie Claire, and a girl's night out Parcel.  I thought i'd show you exactly what our Parcels contained.
This was the bag awaiting each of us on our seats!
As you can see it's a normal Parcel box, with a Girl's Night Out slip cover.

The contents.
Designer Brands Cosmetics Soothing Lavender-soap and body lotion, plus loofah and eye mask

None of this can be purchased as a stand alone product, but DB have it all in a pack for $12.49 (with a body wash).  This smells lovely, and is all usable.
Designer Brands Dry Shampoo-Brunette-$7.99

OMG, i love this.  It smells heavenly (it has essential oils in it), plus it does a good job, and it isn't visible in my hair!!

Neutrogena Make-up wipes-sample pack

These will be used, and i haven't tried them before

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser-sample size

Perfect for travelling

L'Occitane Rose Handcream-30ml-$14

I LOVE L'Occitane handcreams.  And being winter this is perfect.

Designer Brands Whipped Mineral Eyeshadow-$8.99

Mine's in Ivory, and Mum's was Mushroom (she handed hers on as she won't use it).  They're highly pigmented, are smooth and silky, and are easily blended.

Designer Brands LashFood Growth Serum-$19.99

Wow!  This is supposed to help thicken your eyelashes, and help them grow.
Eyeshadow swatch
So, not only did we get to see an awesome movie (i adored it!  I'm not a movie person, but it held my interest from start to finish), but we got a box each worth $51 in full sizes alone!  Plus a copy of Marie Claire!

If you live near a Hoyts that hosts Girl's Nights out, treat yourself sometime and go to one.  It was a great experience, and one i'd happily do again.
